Ximena Sariñana

Ximena Sariñana was born in Guadalajara and sings primarily in Spanish, but that’s not stopping her from being the next Latin music crossover star. With a mature take on indie pop similar to the Ingrid Michaelsons of the world, Sariñana’s worked with the Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez on his solo project, recorded a duet with Jason Mraz (a bilingual version of his song “Lucky”) and made it onto the cover of female-fronted US mag Venus Zine. Her debut album, Mediocre, is two years old at this point, leaving a growing fanbase ready for more—but before that, the former telenovela star has a few Lilith Fair dates this summer, including one back in Orange County at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in July.
