Helicopter Showdown's unique mix of heavy dubstep and electro house is sure to send tremors down your spine. The dirty dub and trapstyle creates a creepy atmosphere full of bass-in-your-face for a spooky Halloween vibe. We just hope the bouncers at the new venue change let everyone with shorts in as the usual dub fans don't really dress club-like.

8. Marcus Schössow at the Yost Theater

If dubstep is not your thing then what better way to spend Halloween night than at one of the oldest buildings in Orange County. Rumored to be a haunted venue, the 100 year old Yost Theater in Santa Ana has a basement once used as a prison and a dressing room where the late Ernest Ball passed away. X Halloween Nights continue on Sunday the 28th for a special event as Dirty Dutch king Chuckie makes his special Ten Nightclub debut. Playing all over the US and festival circuit this year it's no wonder we've seen him at the Yost and Sutra already this year. Born Clyde Sergio Narain, Chuckie is know for his energy, song selections and originally produced tracks that bang hard in any club. We think he might even bring down the roof at this intimate venue! Straight off from sharing a stage with other female icons like Audrey Napoleon and Rebecca & Fiona at Escape from Wonderland, Gina Star opens for Chuckie for a night that's sure to make some noise.

2. Markus Schulz at Sutra

The week of Halloween madness ends it's epic trance line up with the Markus Schulz on Tuesday October 30th. Currently on his Scream album tour – perfectly fitting for this Halloween affair filled with hard deep trance, Schulz is sure to slay all the unicorn dressed attendees. Known for playing much longer than he is intended, we hope they get rid of opening DJs and let him do his thing the entire night. Voted “America's Best DJ” by Pioneer DJ and the DJ Times Schulz is not only a masterful producer and DJ, he is also an entertainer balancing reading the crowd as well as educating them. This is something OC needs and we're glad he's here!

1. Escape from Wonderland

Okay we know this is technically not in Orange County, but half of OC will be making the trek to San Bernardino for a night of pure EDM madness on Saturday the 27th. This sinister wonderland party has five different stages, the Discovery Project Wide Awake Cart, five scary mazes, art installations and enough spooky performers and monsters to keep you on your toes the entire evening. There are stages hosted by Size Matters head Steve Angello, techno leader Richie Hawtin's “Enter” and Bassrush with the likes of Borgore and Noisia. As if that wasn't enough just a few days ago it was announced DJ Mag's Number One DJ in the world Armin Van Buuren will be taking the main stage alongside Calvin Harris and Laidback Luke. We can't really think of any more massive Halloween party than this in all of SoCal.
