LAND

Since the beginning of time, humankind has had fluctuating relationship to the earth and its natural resources over time due to the various advancements in industrialization and technology. Still, contemporary artists have persisted in calling our attention to our fluctuating connection to land, with Irvine Fine Arts Center’s latest show a continuation of that study. For its first exhibit of the year, IFAC opens LAND, a group show that dissects distinct environmental-related issues, from climate change to agriculture to mapping. Featuring works by Jennifer Celio, Christine Nguyen, Christine Weir, Michael Nannery, Chris Natrop, Virginia Katz and Kiyomi Fukui, this show is one to make you ponder a little harder about our natural world.
