Glee's Matthew Morrison Performs Solo for Charities

Matthew Morrison, lead actor of Fox's musical-comedy series Glee, graduated from the Orange County School of the Arts in 1997. He performed his first solo concert outdoors at the Grove in Los Angeles on Jan. 30 in support of the Oscar Meyer Good Mood Mission, which promotes doing good deeds in the community. Over the weekend, Morrison gave his fans a preview of his soon-to-be-released solo album and told My Fox LA.com  that he will be singing duets of “Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters” and “Rocket Man” with Sir Elton John.

Morrison is also participating in the “Swingin' Singin' Salute to the Stars of USO!” event held at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine, which hopes to raise $800,000 for this year's Orange County School of the Arts annual gala. Raffle tickets are available here for $10 each (or 12 for $100), and winners will be chosen on March 19 at the Hyatt. One winning ticket will earn the holder and a friend a trip to the set of Glee, where he/she will take a behind-the-scenes tour led by Morrison and get to see the entire cast of the show rehearse and film an upcoming episode. The Gleek extravaganza will wind up with a lunch with Morrison, which is sure to make all of the winner's girlfriends (and maybe a boy or two) swoon.
You can watch Morrison's performance over the weekend here.
