Best Seafood Market

Located just half a block from Belmont Shore's so-called “Horny Corner” at the intersection of Bayshore Avenue and Second Street, Roe Restaurant N Fish Market is still under construction. Sometime next year, there will be a full indoor dining area (and, who knows, maybe a liquor license?), but for now, there are just several tables on the sidewalk out front, as well as one inside next to the display of fresh seafood available by the pound. If you want to eat in, you can't go wrong with the ceviche, lobster roll, fish or shrimp tacos, and especially the steamed mussels and clams, but you should also keep an eye out for specials such as the oyster po' boy. The real treat, though, is the fresh fish: albacore, ahi, ono, mackerel, halibut, along with the aforementioned shellfish, which suggests that even when construction finishes, this will still be known as the best takeout fish market in town.
