White Elephant Mix: Wildboys

This year, OC/LB bands have come together to provide us with a smokin' holiday soundtrack called the White Elephant Mix. Wildboys clearly enjoy a party, so the holidays afford them many opportunities to do what they do best. Clubbin' Around the Christmas Treeis a funky electro splice job that features snippets of several Yuletide classics.

Stallone and Bronson dial down the raunch on this track, which befits the holiday, but we get the feeling they may have switched out the egg nog for Four Loko (RIP original formulation). The dirty duo hold forth on what they want from Santa this year and relative niceness/naughtiness.
You'll be covered with Christmas cheer as you listen to our twelve local artists jingling their bells here.
What's the best gift you've ever gotten?

Bronson: Back in the ol' days of '97, I received the first Sony MP3
player. Back then there were no iTunes, and all MP3s were in the form of
plastic discs. I still have this antique, but I got sick of carrying around a
 portable CD player.

Stallone: I have (and still play) my 1989 edition Nintendo Entertainment
System, with “Zapper” gun, and Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt–I'm a kid at heart.

What do you want from Santa this year?

Stallone: Would it be too cliche to ask for a Red Ryder carbine-action, two-hundred
shot Range Model air rifle with a compass in the stock, and a thing which
tells time? But seriously, two cases of mint-condition Four Loko UVA and
Lemon-Lime flavored beverages, aged appropriately (six months).

What do you love most about the holiday season?

Bronson: Well, what we don't like about the holiday season is stressed out drivers,
crazy parking lots, dry skin, constant wearing of Christmas attire,
Christmas sale commercials, and the one creepy uncle at our family
functions. We do love however, continual re-runs of A Christmas Story and
 Christmas Vacation.

Were you naughty or nice this year?

Bronson: Please excuse the confusion–we do consider ourselves to have been nice
this year. On the contrary, it is only because it feels sooo nice to be
 naughty.
Why did you pick this song? What's so special about it?

Stallone: We chose to do a mashup of a few of our favorite Christmas tracks. A few
things that made these songs special: the songs all talk about rockin', Home
Alone had the best soundtrack ever, and the Mariah Carey Christmas album
ignited our aspirations to establish a music career (and, in the future,
hopefully marry a Disney star 10 years our junior, like her).

What¹s your favorite Christmas memory?

Bronson: I remember one Christmas my dad was going to be spending it in the
slammer. Since I wasn't going to be seeing him, he gave me his debit card
, and told me to buy myself a gift. I finally got to get a game my mom
wouldn't let me get. (Mortal Kombat, thanks dad.)

Stallone: I remember we had this crazy uncle that was super rich, but he did
some really shady business on the side. He never came around except this
 one
year and unloaded crispy fresh $100 bills on all of the kids. That was
the first and last Christmas we ever saw him.
 Happy Christma-hanu-kwanza-kah.
