Where To Dine Today: $1 Oysters, $2 Tacos And BOGO Breakfasts

Of the many, MANY options you have for dining, I'm here to go over three more. The fact that they are cheaper than the words of a certain former basketball team owner is coincidence. Of course, most of them come with a catch. Let's start with my favorite meal of the day.

Today only is a Buy One, Get One Free special at Einstein Brothers. It's a very specific one, so be sure you like what you read before going. You can score a free applewood bacon and cheddar bagel sandwich when you order one. For some, that's an extra meal. My friend's kid would call it a snack. Locations include Long Beach, Westminster, Mission Viejo and Irvine. Use this link to print or save to your mobile device. Limit one person per coupon, while supplies last. Not valid at hospitals, airports, colleges (that's why we didn't include UCI, Chapman University and Cal Poly Pomona) or military bases. This offer cannot be combined with other specials, offers or promotions.

Next up, Sabroso Craft Beer & Taco Festival premieres this Saturday at Lake View Park from noon to 4 p.m. The caveat here is that in order to qualify for $2 tacos from places such as Hopscotch Tavern, the Haven Collective, Iron Press, Slidebar, Dos Chinos and Porko Rico, you gotta pay a hefty entry. However, the $55 ($65 if not sold out on event day) entry includes parking, entertainment, water, festival glassware and UNLIMITED BEER TASTINGS for four hours! All taco profits will be donated to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. For tickets and more information, head to www.sabrosotacofest.com.

Our last deal is definitely the best of the trio. In Newport Beach, Lark Creek is offering beer and oysters for a buck. Six-ounce drafts and shellfish for one dollar a pop. This special occurs daily, between 3 – 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 3 – 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Patrons in the bar and outdoor patio can partake in this surprisingly good deal. If you need more convincing (I did), head over here to read up on it.
