Vegas' Answer To Coachella: The Cosmopolitan's Valley To Vegas Spring Concert Series

Coachella is upon us, and though thousands of people will embark on the valley desert for the lauded festival, what about the rest of us? Las Vegas' Cosmopolitan Hotel may just have the answer.

Today, the posh mid-strip casino/hotel kicks off its fourth annual Valley to Vegas Spring concert series – a program that began with three shows in 2011 and has grown to nine, including performances by the likes of Lorde, Haim and Foster the People. “[This is] for fans who can't make it to Coachella,” explains Fedor Banuchi, the Cosmopolitan's VP of Entertainment & Nightlife. “They now have the option of coming here to see so many amazing shows.”

Opting for Vegas instead of the packed polo fields doesn't sound like a bad Coachella alternative, and with the goal of booking bands with an “indie spirit,” the lineup continues to impress year after year.

Aside from the Valley to Vegas Spring Concert Series, The Cosmopolitan also hosts shows during the summer months. “Set Your Life to Music is our weekly summer concert series, which features up and coming bands Thursday nights at the Boulevard Pool,” Banuchi says. “The series starts around Memorial Day and ends just after Labor Day. We look forward to announcing the line up very soon, so keep an eye out.” Our eyes are peeled!

The Valley To Vegas Spring Concert Series runs April 9-18. For a full list of acts, go to The Cosmopolitan's official website.
