The seasons may not want to cooperate yet, but when “free” rains down on us, it definitely pours. Yesterday we shared our frugal finds involving both Corner Bakery and Pei Wei. Today's installment moves us to the Little Italy of chains called Maggiano's. The only location within the county is in Costa Mesa, a little ironic considering our deal is steps away from the most expensive shopping around.
We already caught the commercials promoting Olive Garden's version of this deal: dine on one entree for dinner tonight, and take a second home to enjoy tomorrow. It almost compelled us to drop in just to slurp on unlimited soup. Yet they weren't the only ones celebrating National Pasta Month.

In addition to a Best Italian Chef contest, Maggiano's is giving away $100 gift cards for partaking in their Pintrest contest Pin It to Win It. That's nice and all, but we're not interested in competition. Where's the free food? Hello?
Try this next Monday, October 22: Stop by South Coast Plaza for lunch or dinner. Take advantage of their On The House Classic Pastas for $12.95. Eat your first selection, and have the second, free entree ready to go. But make sure to remind your server it's also “On The House Classic Pastas” Day. Anybody who dines on that day gets another free Classic Pasta to take home! That's three meals you didn't have to prepare for the price of one.
Options include fettuccine Alfredo, baked rigatoni pomodoro, four-cheese ravioli, baked ziti, eggplant Parmesan, lasagna, bowtie aglio, and spaghetti (with our without meatballs). Pick three or stick to one, it doesn't matter– they offer reheating instructions here.
