[UPDATED] Body Found In Santa Ana Riverbed–Not OC Homicide No. 2, Authorities Say

Update, Jan. 17, 1:02 p.m.: Authorities have confirmed there was no foul play involved in the death of a Garden Grove man who was discovered in the Santa Ana Riverbed on Thursday morning. It's been determined that Jesus Enrique Perez, 24, drowned.

Authorities have identified the body as that of 24-year-old Jesus Enrique Perez, who lived in Garden Grove. It is not yet determined whether foul play was involved or whether Perez drowned.
According to an LA Times report, Perez's car was found parked near Fifth Street and Fairview Road in Santa Ana, by Orange County sheriff's deputies. The body was discovered near Adams Avenue, which is on the border of Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach.
