The Stone Roses Reunite for Two Manchester Shows and World Tour

Legendary Madchester rockers The Stone Roses announced during a press conference in London earlier today their reunion after a 15-year split. Front man Ian Brown declared to fans, “This is a live resurrection, and you're invited, so you better be there,” referencing their track “I Am the Resurrection” off their self-titled 1989 debut album.

The band will play two shows at the 80,000-capacity Heaton Park in
Manchester, England, on June 29 and 30, 2012, before embarking on what
they call an “extensive” world tour–“If anyone buys a ticket, of
course.” (We're pretty sure there won't be an issue.)

And yes, rest assured that all four original Stone Roses will be taking
part: Brown, guitarist John Squire, bass player Gary “Mani”
Mounfield and drummer Alan “Reni” Wren.
