For the last 10 years, the Laguna Beach Music Festival takes over the beachside city for a week of showcasing both established and upcoming musicians. The unique aspect is that these talented, young performers study under famous mentors in their field, and the public gets to view the evolving result. Returning as a teacher this year is Edgar Meyer, master composer-performer of the double bass. In honor of his multiple recording achievements, Sony/BMG created a compilation of his work titled The Best of Edgar Meyer in 2007. Spend an evening of the festival soaking up the deep sounds of Meyer’s double bass as he performs at the Laguna Playhouse.
