The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Based on the international best-selling novel by Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time makes its stage debut. This imaginative play, adapted by Simon Stephens and directed by Marianne Elliott, tells the story of a 15-year-old named Christopher who can only perceive the world in a literal manner. He’s gifted at math, but lacks the ability to interpret the happenings of everyday life, making it appear that he likely falls on the autism spectrum. Christopher discovers the dead body of Wellington, his neighbor’s dog, but becomes suspicious—considering it’s after midnight and the dog has been speared by a garden fork. Christopher vows to solve the mystery and writes down every fact in a book—embarking on a harrowing journey that turns his life upside down.
