Tanaka Farms Open House This Saturday

There are folks who live for the weekend, and those who would rather sleep the day away. If you're of the former (and looking for something to do), we've got an activity that offers you snacks and gets you some Vitamin D. Did we mention John Deere selfies?

Locals are familiar with the family-run business that is Tanaka Farms. Our favorite memories have to do with their strawberry picking tours– which started up earlier in the month. What's happening this weekend sounds like a big social, but you can be the judge.

Visitors will receive a reusable Tanaka tote, plus kale and carrots for the first 500 arrivals. Staff will be on hand to discuss what's going on around the farm and provide samples of some of their produce. Kids will get a kick out of petting the animals and climbing the ol' tractor. We hear they'll even be raffling off a few of those strawberry tours. The party runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but we suggest arriving early. That parking lot fills up fast.
