While strolling through Cougar Country Crystal Cove Promenade the other day, we spotted ongoing construction at the future Tamarind of London. When Edwin announced its coastal arrival back in February, our friends at the Irvine Co. had not released a time line, leaving us hanging for an update. Fortunately, the missing link was posted right out front, just waiting for a blogger to scoop.
According to this modest announcement, the countdown has begun.

The former Sage On the Coast space was taking shape with a bold
exterior and what appears to be a modest water feature (akin to Aria's Focus
fountain) off to the side. Its 144-seat dining space includes a vibrant patio and will offer a full bar, plus a selection of traditional Indian beverages . . . in case the liquor license doesn't go through.
Tell Siri to set up a reminder: Nov. 14, lunch at Tamarind. See you there!
