It’s not every day you see the beach bombarded revving motorcycles and iconic punk rock. But the recently announced lineup for Surf City Blitz at Huntington State Beach is more than just loud…it’s downright historical. The two festival on October 27-28 features performances from the biggest bands in OC punk history–The Offspring and Social Distortion–along with huge names like Pennywise, Rancid, Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Religion, FEAR, TSOL, The Interrupters and more. The event, created by John Reese and his company SGE, is part of the Sea Legs Live Event Series.
To top things off, the event also includes the second annual Moto Beach Classic, which combines Super Hooligan street bike flat track racing, drag and mini bike racing, art, custom motorcycles and, of course, the love of two wheels. The event will feature a dirt track on the sand for the first time ever and two days of Super Hooligan flat track racing.
The spacious grounds at Huntington State Beach will include an abundance of shaded areas for patrons and a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean from throughout the site, along with beach games and activities, photo ops, and a number of other attractions. Doors open at Noon each day and the festival is open to all ages.

Nate Jackson is the gatekeeper to your dreams of local dive bar stardom. If he writes about you, expect your band to be offered at least one more drink ticket than the rest of the bands on the bill. Get his attention with some groovy tunes and he might just do it. Then, boy will you feel special.
