Slice Deli & Cakery Fundraiser To Benefit Cancer Non-Profit THIS SATURDAY!

We’re always down with supporting local, especially when it’s for a worthy cause. Co-owner Natalie Burke of recently opened Slice Deli & Cakery in Fountain Valley is a recent cervical cancer survivor, beating the battle in July of last year. Saturday’s special event will benefit Angels on the Frontline, specializing in educating and supporting research and prevention of this specific cancer.

Held during National Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, Burke is a strong supporter in the cause, “We’re looking forward to forming a lasting and impactful relationship with Angels on the Frontline.” A performance by soul band Allensworth (Burke and co-owner/fiance John-Michael Sanchez are passionate about music) will accompany the silent auction, featuring new items to bid on every hour. Possible prizes include outdoor adventures, spa services and dining experiences.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 16th, a portion of food and beverage sales will go towards the non-profit. Those who cannot attend can still do their part by purchasing a designated “Cervivor” vanilla cake with teal buttercream all month long, as part of the dessert’s sales will also go to the Angels . Go get twice as much done by hitting up Slice to order a sweet while you assist this deserving charity.

Slice Deli & Cakery is located at 8780 Warner Ave, Fountain Valley, (714) 401-9334; www.slicedeliandcakery.com.
