The wait is finally over. Our favorite Slater (not A.C. or Kelly) has launched their bacontastic menu for public consumption in Huntington Beach. If last night's preview was any indicator, then Adams Avenue will never be the same.
Those crazy Yelp kids know how to throw a party. It was a packed house for a dry run of dinner service Wednesday evening.
Guests were allowed to order burgers, appetizers, and beer. A single dessert, the monstrous bacon brownie, was the option that night. However, that didn't stop folks from going batty over the gooey sauce known as Vampire Dip. After splitting both a signature 50/50 and an award-winning Peanut Butter & Jealousy burger, this blogger has been converted to the strange but yummy world of over-the-top eats.
A welcome feature is the presence of dual bar areas. The primary is centrally located in the heart of the restaurant, with seating all around. A secondary is tucked in the back with round tables to accommodate groups. It's decorated with lots of old-school neon beer signage. The serious sports fanatics will find solace (or lots of buddies to cheer with) in their very own section. Patrons in the main dining room can still view sporting action on the dozen or more flat screens mounted throughout.
Their soft opening is today, with a big grand opening tomorrow. Either you're open or you're closed, as far as we're concerned. See you there!
