Remember Larry Stukenholtz? Probably not. The former Mater Dei choir teacher didn't get as much attention as his fellow molestor, former assistant boys' basketball coach Jeff Andrade. But Stukenholtz was also part of the most recent sex-abuse settlement by the Catholic Diocese of Orange. Stukenholtz is now a music professor at St. Louis Community College, …

Last night at Spin City (held at Sutra, that place is sooo beautiful), another 2 hopeful DJs made it a little bit closer to the Winter Music Fest in Miami. And I got just a little bit closer to destroying my liver. The competition, which consisted of 20 minute sets, started off with Peter J …

I love a lot of the same things that Shag loves. I love that kooky, flat graphic style that was so popular in the late '50s and early '60s, the kind of stuff you used to see in the opening titles for sitcoms with theme songs by Henry Mancini. I love girls with big hair, …

Brown, longtime diocesan lawyer (and Orange County's 14th Scariest Person for 2007) Peter Callahan remains brazenly arrogant in discussing his client's terrible role in protecting pedophiles and statutory rapists. This time around, Callahan granted an “interview” to the …

The records collected by The End of the Road Trust show that Street charged thousands more …

PowerSolo: Nordixie Danes show us Americans how to rock, white-trash-roots style. There's something terribly sad about seeing Jon Spencer playing with his latest band, Heavy Trash, before a crowd in the two figures on a Sunday night. Spencer once led his Blues Explosion trio to glorious heights of critical respect, artistic achievement and respectable commercial …
