San Francisco Ballet

The San Francisco Ballet, one of the nation’s oldest and most esteemed dance companies, puts their pointe shoes to the Segerstrom Center's stage this month. The company performs its renowned rendition of Romeo and Juliet, along with two pieces never seen before in Sothern California: RakU, created by resident choreographer Yuri Possokhov, and Trio by Helgi Tomasson, the company’s Icelandic artistic director. Founded in 1933, the San Francisco Ballet, along with American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet, is considered one the companies to have defined classical American dance. Don't miss the Bay Area's finest dancers as they combine classical and cutting-edge aspects of their repertoire for Southern California audiences.
