Still beating yourself up on a daily basis for selling your daddy’s cherry, cherry-red, 1968 4.2-liter convertible Jaguar XKE all those years ago? The Series 1.5 they only made 771 of? Well, you should—they’re going for around 80 grand these days. To get a taste of other poetry in metal and maybe distract yourself for a while, check out the show-quality 300-plus vehicles at the San Clemente Classic Car Show in the city’s historic downtown—woodies, muscle cars, street rods, classics, customs, trucks, you name it. There’ll be live classic rock, vendors, food and about 25,000 other people going, “Oh, my God, honey, look at that!” If that just happens to be a particular ’68 XKE, you have our sympathies.
