Back in June, a fire broke out inside Irvine's Prego Ristorante. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. For five months, the other Italian across from Il Fornaio (they're still open?) was rebuilding. A business lunch mainstay, the surrounding office complexes awaited good news.
As of Tuesday, Prego reopened their doors.
Decked out appropriately for the holidays, administrative assistants will be inquiring about office parties the rest of the week. Executive chef and partner Ugo Allesina is back serving his brand of Northern Italian for lunch and dinner daily. Reservations and information can be found at www.pregoristoranti.com.
