Pharrell Shows His Humility, In Illustrated Form

We've never heard anyone speak unkindly about Pharrell Williams–and why should they? The ever-dapper creative genius has been the force behind some of the biggest pop songs and most successful collaborations to date.

Pharrell received accolades this week after he changed the closing lyrics to Armstrong's “It's a Wonderful World” during a team performance on NBC's The Voice. Pharrell's lyrical edit mentioned needing “justice to unfurl,” a nod to his feelings toward the controversial Ferguson verdict.

We were tickled when we discovered Pharrell's inspiration behind naming his son 'Rocket.' He explained to Oprah: “[My wife Helen Lasichanh and I] named him after a man-made machine that was meant to go up–meant to ascend”. Stevie Wonder's “Rocket Love”, Elton John's “Rocket Man”, and Herbie Hancock's “Rocket” also played a factor, since those artists are his favorite musicians.

You can watch Pharrell and supermodel Cara Delevingne star and share a duet in Chanel's 'Reincarnation', a new short film directed by the label's creative director Karl Lagerfeld. Here's what the hit-maker has said that demonstrates his humility. Quotation above via theguardian.com.
