Perfect Storm at Buster's Beach House, Our Drink of the Week

When your drink is served in a fishbowl, you know you're going to have a good time. Buster's Beach House manages to combine classy waterfront dining with a lively bar scene by sectioning off the bar from the main dining area. Get the best of both areas by claiming one of the booths near the ocean-view windows in the bar area–you can watch the bartenders pour shot after shot into the Perfect Storm or look the other direction at all of the passing boats in Alamitos Bay.

The Perfect Storm is a crazy concoction of alcohol and juices that will make you forget about any coming storms. It's made with Jose Cuervo tequila, Bacardi Select rum, Bols triple sec, Christian Brothers brandy, and orange and pineapple juices–and if that's not enough, it's topped with a float of Grand Marnier.

I can't imagine what would happen if you tried to down this fishbowl alone, so take the menu's advice that it's “stormy enough for two.” With a hefty $17.95 price tag, you're going to want to split the tab anyway. But don't worry; it's well-worth it.
