Papa John's Delivery Guy Leaves Racist Butt-Dialed Call To Customer

Executives of major corporations may know better, but hourly employees still aren't getting the memo on customer service. While not quite as visual as “lady chinky eyes”, Papa John's CEO John Schnatter is taking names and chopping heads over another racist slur. His apology came out yesterday, but the damage was already done. This time, it involves the N-word.

The day: Thursday, May 23. Location: Sanford, Florida. A pizza delivery guy finishes a job, and is overheard speaking to his buddy about the tip (or lack of, according to him). Little did he know that he dialed the residence and was leaving a rather unpleasant voicemail. You can look at the cost break down on the pizza box and listen to the call at this YouTube video. The real dialogue starts around 2:34. Here are some highlights.

“Did he tip you?”

“Nope. Not at all.”

“I guess that's the only requirement for being a Nigger in Sanford. Yea. They give me five bucks there– fine outstanding African-American gentleman of the community.”

It continues with a lot more N-word and f-bomb vernacular. Did we mention the customer's grand total, including aforementioned tip, came out to $22? Pretty decent, in our opinion– especially in foodservice. Even more so for delivery. Hold on while we brace ourselves for a lively comment or two.
