One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest began as a book, became a play, and was then adapted into a film. In each of these incarnations, it has won countless awards and received universal praise. When you have a story that is capable of generating such responses across these varied mediums, then what you have is greatness. It’s central character, Randle McMurphy, is perhaps one of the best-known fictional personalities. Along with Charles Foster Kane, Luke Skywalker, and Holden Caulfield, the spirit of R.P.
