More ex-gay Irvine action: Over the weekend, the devil snuck into Irvine and the mainstream media said nary a word. On Saturday, Focus on the Family's homosexuality-quashing Love Won Out conference came to Mariners Church (the event was interestingly categorized under “MarinerScare” on the church website). Soulforce, the group that came forward to counter ex-gay ministry Exodus International in Irvine last June, was strangely silent. Randy Thomas, executive vice president of Exodus, comments on the lack of protest at the event over at his blog.

- Street breathes sigh of relief: OC Supervisor John Moorlach wants embattled Treasurer Chriss Street stripped of his investment powers over the county’s $6.2 billion portfolio, but he's willing to wait till District Attorney Tony Rackauckas finishes investigating the guy. Peggy Lowe at the Register reports that Moorlach's decision will save Street from defending himself in front of the Board of Supes this week, as previously planned.
- Still somewhat lost in OC: Today's LA Times Orange County section's in better shape than usual (Moxley usually catches it brimming over with non-OC stories). Most stories are from the county this morning, but one Sacramento tale is thrown into the mix.
