[Hey, You!] Well, You Were Walking on a Bike Path . . .

Granted, I was walking in the Long Beach bike lane, but that doesnNt give anyone the right to play bike-path police/vigilante and assault me. I didnNt even know you were coming because I had my headphones on.

And I know you did it on purpose because it hurt. When I screamed, which I know you had to hear, you didnNt stop to ask if I was okay, or to say you were sorry, or to ask me to excuse you; instead, you sped up on your bike as fast as you could. There wasnNt an obstacle or another person anywhere near us, and I couldnNt do anything about what you had done.

You could have seriously injured me if I had, say, fallen to the cement. That obviously didnNt concern you, but I really hope you heard me cursing at you—which you thoroughly deserved. YouNre really lucky you were on that bike and not on foot.
