As this tech-obsessed culture slowly evolves, nerds become cooler and cooler every year. Who's the best bet to save our planet from environmental destruction, after all? The high school quarterback? Um, no. So it's not surprising that tonight's show comprised entirely of egg-head comedians is one heck of a hot ticket. Led by comic/engineer Don McMillan, who peppers his set with charts, graphs and powerpoint presentations, Nerd Night is a celebration of those who boast both high IQ and lively funny bone. Additional performers include Wayne Cotter, a computer science major who appeared on Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show; Norm Goldblatt, a physics major and standup regular; Toby Muresianu, who has a degree in computer science and played the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; and Andrew Solmssen, an Improv regular and mechanical engineering major. So come to the Improv for some high-brow humor, as the tagline reads, “Be there and be square!”
