Neil Young to Perform “Fuckin' Up” on Conan O'Brien's “Tonight Show” Finale? He Should!

This evening Conan O'Brien fans will have one last chance to catch the funny man with the towering hairdo host the Tonight Show. Sure, O'Brien will likely resurface somewhere–the safe bet is Fox–shortly, and with a 45 million exit deal, he won't exactly be standing in the unemployment line in between gigs. But it's still a bit sad to see him get shafted and lose the most coveted spot on late night. Then again, watching him stick it to NBC lately has almost made it worth losing him for a while.

Tonight's show should rock with guests Will Ferrell, Tom Hanks and a musical performance by Neil Young. It has been more than six months since the iconic artist released his latest studio album, Fork in the Road, which didn't exactly sizzle. So, here's to hoping Young closes the night with a classic. A grunge-y rocker. A song that will totally piss off NBC. Because, really, this would be the perfect way to end O'Brien's Tonight Show run. Just imagine Neil Young mumbling, “Ah, I'd like to dedicate this one to the ass clowns at NBC,” and then launching into…

And while we're fantasizing. Let's put Pearl Jam on stage with him!
