After our interview with this week's On the Line chef, Justin Miller, we spotted this next door. At first, we thought Pizzeria Ortica was expanding. That was not the case, but we still get dessert!
We believe it was a Mrs. Beasley's bakery cafe, but to be honest, we weren't certain. We only found ourselves on this block when headed to a performance. The more we learned about the mini-chain, the more we needed it to be open already.

A homegrown business that began on Main Street in Huntington Beach, Mangiamo is the brainchild of Bob Hoxsie. He makes their gelato and sorbetto fresh daily, featuring flavors like rum raisin, green caramel apple and s'mores. And for those who aren't in the mood for a chilly treat, there's Lavazza coffee drinks. We say take the best of both worlds and get an affogato with whatever you're in the mood for.
Mangiamo Gelato Caffe will be located next to 650 Anton Blvd, Costa Mesa; www.mangiamogelatocaffe.com.
