On Wednesday morning, Robert Daniel Ojeda, 36, had a guest at his home. After the two apparently got into an argument, the guest left in his truck and Ojeda followed. Ojeda fired at least one shot, hitting the vehicle but harming no one. The fired-at citizen then called the cops.
Because Ojeda's car was in his driveway when they arrived, police believed he may have barricaded himself inside his home. That's why the SWAT team showed up and cordoned off part of the neighborhood. When they executed a search warrant and entered the house, though, Ojeda wasn't to be found.
The U.S. Marshall's Fugitive Task Force was enlisted to find Ojeda. That worked: He was detained yesterday in Fullerton and then booked into the Orange County Jail in Santa Ana, charged with attempted murder.
