Long Beach Band Two Guns Land Song on MTV's 'Jersey Shore'

Two Guns front man Kevin Poush woke up to a serious surprise this morning. His bassist, Harris Pittman, informed him via Facebook that the band's song “Heavyheads” had been played Thursday on the final episode of

“We submitted material to MTV a few months back to use if they so chose,” Poush says. “And apparently they chose Jersey Shore, which is awesome!”
Poush has only seen two episodes of the show but found them hilarious. This weekend he plans to watch the season finale featuring Two Guns.  “Heavyheads,” a highly catchy modern rock cut, plays during “the scene when Ronnie and the other guy who looks like Ronnie discuss a fight between Ronnie and Sammi,” notes the Washington Post.
“With the music industry turned on its head things like this are key to getting exposure,” says Poush, whose band is unsigned. “I'm thankful that this might have introduced us to people who would have never heard our music.”
Two Guns plan to hit the recording studio in February with Matt Wignall, who engineered Cold War Kids' 2008 breakthrough album Loyalty to Loyalty.
