Pitchfork handed Local Natives' debut an 8.4 last month, pretty much ensuring that the Mission Viejo quintet (well, officially, Los Angeles quintet, but we know the truth) a busy and buzzy 2010 that includes playing Coachella.
Local Natives are now passing a little of that online-tastemaker love to their buddies in Santa Ana's Aushua.

Yesterday, the 'Fork ran a “guest list” from the Natives' Kelcey Ayer and Ryan Hahn, in which they list a few of their favorite things. Among Ayer's selections for the best song of the past year:
Aushua: “Limbo”. They're friends of ours from Orange County. You usually have friends in bands, and it's not always your most favorite music. But Aushua made this EP that is outstanding, and I really dug that song.
We're pretty sure this means Aushua has arrived. It'll be the Forkcast any day for 'em now!
