Limp Bizkit Perform at Epicenter 2011; First SoCal Show in Over a Decade

Over dinner last week, a few friends were talking about random brushes with fame when Fred Durst came up. My buddy prefaced it by saying, “I'm sure this story would've been way cooler if it didn't involve Limp Bizkit.” A decade ago, he was walking around Minneapolis when Durst came up to him (in a coat and fake mustache, sans red backwards cap) and said “you have something on your face, dude.”

My friend, who is famous for leaving food particles on his person, did have something on his face, and I remember that story fondly now that I read that Epicenter, Southern California's biggest brofest, is set for Saturday, September 24 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine. The all-day event will culminate in Limp Bizkit performing their first Southern California show in over a decade and their first American live performance of 2011.

In a statement, Durst is quoted as saying “Limp Bizkit is back, more dangerous and contagious than ever with
our original lineup, NEW album Gold Cobra, and EPICENTER to take your
rock and roll fantasy past the extreme … I promise this will be a party you do NOT want to miss. EPICENTER will
be our first and only Southern California shindig. And fellas, don't be
mad that EPICENTER will be filled with women…that's how we roll.”

Who else is on this lineup? Everyone that wearers of Affliction t-shirts will get excited about: Staind, Five
Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, P.O.D., Puddle Of Mudd,
Asking Alexandria, Skillet, Redlight King, Middle Class Rut and Drive A.
