The Carpenter Performing Arts Center has e-mailed notices, and posted on its website, that
Leonard Nimoy will not make his scheduled appearance (previewed in our Calendar section) tomorrow evening, Oct. 23, 2010. The announcement says Nimoy has had “emergency surgery for a minor, benign, abdominal condition and is recovering beautifully.”

The announcement states that the center is working to reschedule the performance, and that updates will be posted at www.CarpenterArts.org.
“Susan Bay Nimoy extends her
thanks to everyone for their get-well wishes,” the announcement adds.
