Leading Ladies

Following the paths of game-changing comedy classics as Some Like It Hot, Twelfth Night and White Chicks, International City Theatre presents a run of Leading Ladies, a story of two men cross-dressing and getting into trouble. Leo Clark and Jack Gable (get it?) are two down-and-out Shakespearean actors who decide it's a good idea to swindle an old dying woman out of her fortune. When they find out she'll only give her wealth to her two nieces, out come the pantyhose and ball-tucking jokes. Written by the extremely capable Ken Ludwig (An American in Paris, Moon Over Buffalo), Leading Ladies promises to make audiences “cackle till their faces hurt.” That's a good thing.

Wed., June 6; Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: June 6. Continues through July 1, 2012
