Jim Norton

Unless you manage to land a sitcom (rare), a successful movie career (rarer still), or manage to play a homicide detective for 20 years on TV (limited to Richard Belzer only), it’s pretty tricky to find a regular gig as a standup comic. Which is why famously crude comedian Jim Norton should consider himself lucky. Since 2004, he has been a permanent co-host on The Opie & Anthony Show, the long-running East Coast radio talk show on which he can regularly show off characters like child molester “Uncle Paul” in a venue where such a thing is not only accepted, but also encouraged. He has scored plenty of acting gigs along the way, too—often on shows starring Louis CK (FX’s current Louie and HBO’s considerably broader Lucky Louie).
