Irenia Supper Club This Sunday!

Irenia Supper Club began as a one-time thing for 20 friends and family back in March. This weekend will mark dinner number 12, and the final meal for the year. Its focus is a cuisine you don't easily find in Orange County: modern Filipino. And the founder of this pop-up is Ryan Garlitos.

]

We won't dwell on his background and resume (Gotta save something for our interview!), but his past employment does include the likes of Slapfish and Taco Maria. If you know us Forkers, you'll agree those credentials are more than enough. Garlitos will be serving a five-course, prix fixe tasting menu for $57 per person. Tax is included, and it's BYO beer/wine only. Previous On the Line subject Ashley Guzman will be on hand with her notorious desserts.

To quote Ryan, “Irenia Supper Club started as an experiment; a test to see whether seasonally, locally influenced, modern Filipino-inspired dishes could find an audience in Orange County.” Spots are still available. To learn more, email ir**************@gm***.com. Be thankful for that extra hour of sleep this weekend. Oh, and the answer Garlitos was looking for is “Yes.”
