Wu-Tang founding member GZA, aka, the Genius, easily ranks among the greatest hip-hop lyricist of all time. He's a rapper's rapper, delivering erudite–yet street approved–rhymes that never dip into cliche or gimmickry. His flow is melodic and assured, making his vocals standout over the sexiest–or even deadest–beats. In addition to his seminal work with Wu-Tang Clan, GZA has released a slew of solo albums during the past two decades including his acclaimed 2008 full-length Pro Tools. He performs April 23 at Detroit Bar. Tickets are $15 (advance) and $20 (day of show).
