SOCIAL D, BAD RELIGION HEADLINE GV 30
Goldenvoice
—the company that produces Coachella, Stagecoach and many other festivals (remember All Points West?)—reaches its 30th anniversary this year. As part of the celebration, it's throwing GV 30, a three-day festival in Santa Monica featuring a bunch of iconic punk bands—many from OC!

Why? Goldenvoice founder and Huntington Beach native Gary Tovar explains in a statement, “The artists and lineup for these special shows were chosen to reflect the bands that embraced and were instrumental in building Goldenvoice from day one. Like us, they had just the right screws loose. Because of their support past and present, Goldenvoice was able to flourish and become a part of the Southern California music scene.”

Held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, it kicks off Dec. 16 with performances by Social Distortion, X and The Adolescents. On Saturday, Bad Religion, Youth Brigade and TSOL will play, and on Sunday, the recently reunited Descendents, The Vandals and The Dickies will cap off the event. ROCK AROUND DISNEYLAND
The fourth, unofficial rockabilly/psychobilly Rock Around the Park will be held at Disneyland this weekend. The two-day event includes the Rock Around the Park Sock Hop, an all-ages, day-long event on Saturday at Knott's Lagoon in Buena Park with vendors, a car show and live music from The Chop Tops and Rumble King. Tickets are $10, and parking is free.

But the real fun begins on Sunday, when rockabillies and psychobillies descend upon the Happiest Place on Earth for an extravaganza that includes group photos at Sleeping Beauty's Castle and the Roger Rabbit fountain and various meet-ups. From a Nov. 4 post by Justin Shady.

LET THE COACHELLA RUMORS BEGIN!
What does it mean when Radiohead confirm the first 10 dates of their forthcoming 2012 U.S. tour? The dates seem to be a precursor to a Coachella appearance on two weekends this April. (I mean, duh, why else would there be no West Coast dates provided?) It makes sense: Thom Yorke has always been vocal about disliking the massive carbon footprint that touring produces, so spending two weekends in one spot would make Radiohead, Goldenvoice and fans happy. Everybody wins! From a Nov. 7 post.
