The Orange County chapter of the National Organization for Women will present Central High School: No Girls Allowed – a documentary about the Philadelphia public high school that in 1983 was forced to admit girls into the historic all-boys institution – at Cal State Fullerton on March 24 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The film was written and directed by Darlene Craviotto, whose TV movie Love is Never Silent, an adaptation of the Joanne Greenberg novel In This Sign, won an Emmy Award in 1986. The documentary was produced by Victoria Johns Shorr, a board member for NOW Orange County and writer for major TV series such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
