The Annex at The Road Less Traveled Store (disclaimer alert, Delilah Snell is significant others with OC Weekly's own Gustavo Arellano) has a class happening on February 11 called Domestic Art for Couples; it looks like a really fun way to celebrate Valentine's Day! Home Ec in Silverlake has an awesome new class called Make a Macrame Owl. The class description states “Is it cool or is it tacky? We think cool! Learn to make a macramé owl based on a vintage pattern right out of the 1970s. Maybe your parents had one hanging in the hallway growing up? Or maybe you saw one at a thrift store. Now you can make one of your own, and customize it to your own style.”

I don't know about you, but I think it's awesome in that vintage kind of wacky way! If the owl ain't your thing, don't fret – other cool classes coming up this month include sewing a Retro Shift Dress, Bookbinding, and how to make a Modern Baby Quilt.
