Gettin' Made: Craft Show Calls for Vendors

Ahhhhh, the summer craft fair season has drawn to a close. It's time to step away from the glue gun, have a beer, and take a little crafting break. But not too much of a break–fall is right on summer's heels with two new calls for indie arts and crafts vendors!

After the jump, how to get involved with two local shows coming up this fall.

The third annual Villa Park High School Vocal Music 2010 Fall Boutique takes place on Saturday, October 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at, you guessed it, Villa Park High School. This craft show will benefit the vocal music programs at both Villa Park High School and Cerro Villa Middle School. The schools' vocal music programs are award-winning, and teach lifelong skills in music and the pursuit of excellence.  Your participation helps to fund the program and offset the cost of choir trips for the students.

A 10' x 10' booth will cost $55, and you must register before Oct. 15. All spaces are outside in the school's parking lot, meaning come prepared with an EZ Up to ward off that sun! For more information on how to register, click here to visit the Fall Boutique's website.

Unique L.A. is back for its third annual holiday show as well, and vendor applications are now being accepted! The show takes place on Dec. 11 and 12, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days, in the Penthouse of the California Market Center. This is one of the biggest craft shows in the southern California area–whether you're vending at the show or visiting it's an overload of amazing indie art and design!
A 6 foot table spot will cost you $200, while a 10' x 10' booth will cost $400. One table, chair and wastebasket are included, and sharing a spot is allowed. (A word to those looking for the best deal–if you're deciding between a table and a booth, you'll get more space for the same amount of money if you share a 10' x 10' booth with someone instead of opting for the 6' table space!)
Online applications for this December's Unique L.A. will be accepted through Sept. 30–click here for more information and for application instructions.
