Piping in an evenings-worth of bass-rattling G-Funk sounds, the Crosby ushers in a one-off club night, rightfully dubbed West Coast Wednesday. Proving once again that this tiny restaurant/watering hole is Santa Ana's most reputable hang out for hip-hop crate diggers, house DJs will be serenading you to with sounds of Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy-E and hopefully a slew of other names that some of you should probably Google before you come down.
Though the Crosby is definitely known for it's regular DJ residencies, (often manned by co-owner Chris Alfaro of Free the Robots and other local greats) it's nice to see them bust out an exclusive tribute like this to honor the Cali masters. Also, props to the sketch artist. Hopefully the original is hanging proudly on his/her refrigerator somewhere. The DJ sets kick off around 9 p.m. As always, entry is free.
