Dog Days of Summer

Man's best friend is the subject of “Dog Days of Summer,” a week-long festival at the Discovery Science Center with a title that's befitting for its timing (after all, the the first week of July is the true start of summer). This canine event is part of the museum's “Wild Summer” program and features exhibits on dogs, wolves, coyotes and foxes. The highlight, though, is the acrobatic, body vaulting, baton-twirling Kyra Sundance and Chalcy stunt dog team, featured on Ellen, The Tonight Show and Entertainment Tonight. Other programs include pet rescue groups, kids' activities, a learning station about animal teeth, and, of course, gourmet food trucks!
