If you've been to Disneyland in the last couple months you've probably noticed that the Matterhorn Bobsleds have been down for a six-month refurbishment.
So what can park goers expect from the rehabbed ride when it reopens this summer?

The Matterhorn Bobsleds have been covered in scaffolding and fabric wraps for months now, and when everything is said and done the classic ride that debuted in the park in 1959 will have been out of commission for half a year.
But it looks like it will all be worth it when the ride finally reopens on June 15th.
The last time the ride was refurbished was in 1978, so Disney's got they're hands full with more than three decades worth of tweaks and fixes.
Details of the face-lift include:
- A new set of bobsleds! Each cart on the train will now feature three single-rider seats as opposed to the two tandem seats on the old vehicles. That means more legroom, folks! And probably longer lines.
- A new boarding station! With a beer vendor inside! Just kidding, I wish…
- A new exterior! The mountain will get a glittery new paint job and a few new snowcaps. This will make it look all the more pretty as you drive by it on the I-5.
No word yet on if Disney will be replacing the Yeti audio-animatronic or the hidden basketball court at the very top of the structure.
I'm hoping they combine and replace both so we can get an audio-animatronic Yeti playing basketball! Linsanity wouldn't have shit on that!
