Cut It Out

Ever read the CliffsNotes for a Shakespeare play instead of taking the time to read the actual thing? If you answered yes, you'll be glad to know you can now see all of Shakespeare's comedies, tragedies, and historical plays performed together in a mere 90 minutes. Well, sort of. As part of its annual Capistrano Shakespeare Festival, the Camino Real Playhouse will present The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). Three actors will portray all of the characters from the Bard's thick folio of plays, finding humor in their ridiculous task. As Polonius said in Hamlet, “Though this be madness, yet there is method in't.”
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: July 18. Continues through July 28, 2008
