History can be fun, kids! Mission San Juan Capistrano features “curiosity carts” to introduce visitors to history-related replica artifacts used at the Mission during its early days. Each educational cart offers close-up learning for students and visitors interested in seeing these historic artifacts up close and personal. Items include branding irons, spurs, horseshoes, hides, candles, pottery shards and other objects used by the Juaneno Indians.
