Coheed and Cambria Playing Tonight at Fingerprints in Long Beach

Some exciting news has just traveled through the grapevine: Tonight in Long Beach, Coheed and Cambria will head to Fingerprints (420 E. 4th Street, Long Beach, 90802 (562) 433-4996) for an in-store performance.  The New York four-piece has a tendency to infuse metal guitar-licks with prog, punk and hardcore — some acoustic-guitar action, too.  And all their albums have a science-fiction story line, written by Claudio Sanchez — lead singer.  Fingerprints is just one stop on Coheed and Cambria's tour, and it's hard to imagine finding this kick-ass band in a more intimate setting than the Long Beach record store.

So, we know what you're thinking, how the hell do I get tickets?  Well, Coheed and Cambria's new album, “The Afterman: Ascension,” with special guests The Dear Hunter and Three,
will drop on Oct. 9, and the only way to get into this LBC show is by
pre-ordering their record through Fingerprints.  Kind of a sweet deal,
huh?  You buy a record; you get a performance.
Let's
be real here though.  It almost appears that Fingerprints and Coheed
and Cambria tried to keep this show on the DL.  And tickets are still
going fast.  The only mentions of the show were on their Facebook pages.
So, what you should do is call up Fingerprints and see if there are
tickets still available.  Because the last we heard, availability was
shrinking, and they were going to, eventually, have to cap the number of
people attending.
On Saturday, Coheed and
Cambria will play a show in Santa Monica, but then they're off to the
East Coast and Europe.  Time to get on it!
